Healthcare Georgia Foundation Appoints Six Members to 2011-2012 Board of Directors

Foundation further diversifies board to expand reach and representation of Georgians

Atlanta, Georgia – January 5, 2012 - Healthcare Georgia Foundation today announced the addition of six members to its Board of Directors. “The expansion of our Board reflects the Foundation’s desire to further advance the health of Georgians across all access points in our state,” said Gary D. Nelson, PhD, president, Healthcare Georgia Foundation. “We take great pride in the diversity of our Board members and are confident their experience and expertise can help ensure that our work is both reaching and representing those areas where we can make the most impact.”

The new members are as follows:

  • Gene Godfrey (Valdosta, GA)
  • Anne Griffith Hennessy (Atlanta, GA)
  • Pierluigi Mancini, PhD, NCAC II (Norcross, GA)
  • Stephen P. Merz (Atlanta, GA)
  • Charles T. Stafford, MD, MBA-PE (Bainbridge, GA)
  • Diane Zabak Weems, MD (Savannah, GA)
