Healthcare Georgia Foundation Announces New Board Members and Committee Members

Ted Holloway, MD, appointed board chair, Teri Hartman appointed board director, new Executive Committee members announced

Atlanta, Georgia – June 14, 2011 - Healthcare Georgia Foundation today announced the appointment of Ted Holloway, MD as board chair and added Teri Hartman (Atlanta, GA) of Barclay’s Capital to its board of directors.

The Foundation also appointed the following Executive Committee members:

  • Francis J. Tedesco, MD, Vice Chair (Augusta, GA)
  • Rich D'Amaro, Treasurer (Atlanta, GA)
  • Lynn Thogersen, Secretary (Decatur, GA)


About Ted Holloway, MD, Hoboken, GA
Ted Holloway, MD, served as District Health Director, Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, Southeast Health Unit, in Waycross Georgia from 1974-2005. Prior to that, Dr. Holloway was a Diving & Marine Medical Officer and General Practitioner in private practice. Dr. Holloway graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and U.S. Navy School of Diving & Submarine Medicine. He also served on the Georgia Task Force on AIDS, Governor’s Council on Maternal & Infant Health, and as president of the Southeast Georgia Health System’s Agency. He is the recipient of several honors, including Kiwanis Miller Medal for Community Service (2005), GlaxcoSmithKline Child Health Recognition Award (2002), and Who’s Who in Health Care (2002, 1997) and the Rural Health Research Award, Georgia Public Health Association (1990).
