Healthcare Georgia Foundation Announces Changes to Board of Directors

Arnold Tenenbaum appointed board chair; executive committee and new directors announced

Atlanta, GA – February 26, 2013 - Healthcare Georgia Foundation today announced the appointment of Arnold Tenenbaum (Savannah, GA) as board chair and added Cheryl Christian (Gainesville, GA) and Robert Nesbitt, MD (Bainbridge, GA) to its board of directors. The Foundation also named the following executive board committee:

  • Lynn Thogersen, Vice Chair (Decatur, GA)
  • Teri Hartman, Treasurer (Atlanta, GA)
  • Charles Stafford, MD, Secretary (Bainbridge, GA)

About Arnold Tenenbaum
Arnold Tenenbaum is a Savannah native who served as president of Chatham Steel Corporation (2001 -2003) and the organization’s president and chief executive officer (1981 – 2001). He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the holding company of First Chatham Bank, Savannah, Georgia, and is a Trustee of St. Joseph's/Candler Health System, Inc. Mr. Tenenbaum is also the former chairman of the Savannah School of Art and Design’s Board of Trustees and currently serves on its board of directors. His previous positions include: director of Georgia Lottery Corporation; board of directors, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, Georgia Lottery Corporation, First Union Bank of Georgia, and Savannah Electric & Power Company. Mr. Tenenbaum graduated from Dartmouth College (BA) and attended Columbia University’s School of Business.
